About Us

In 2010 Ann Bass decided to create and launch A Lighter Move after helping older friends with a move. In the past this couple had managed all big life events with skill and ease, but moving now was a daunting task and no family were available to help. Ann recognized the need for individuals and their loved ones to have knowledgeable and reliable assistance with the many tasks arising from the need to move.

Everyone at A Lighter Move has had a hand in helping older family and friends with such moves. All bring the same personal care and concern to the projects A Lighter Move manages that they had with their loved ones. The members of the ALM Crew also bring a collective skill set and professional experiences that clients attest put them readily at ease.

Since 2010 A Lighter Move has been assisting 50-70 clients and their families each year. A member of the National Association of Senior & Specialty Move Managers (NASMM), A Lighter Move has attained Circle of Service and Diamond Society status. Striving for continuous improvement, A Lighter Move participates in the annual national NASMM conferences and other continuing education and personal development opportunities.
